A small plane made an emergency landing on southbound Interstate 680 just south of the South Mission Boulevard exit in Fremont this afternoon, the California Highway Patrol reported.
No injuries were reported, and no cars were involved, officer Brian Land said.
The pilot touched down on the freeway shortly before 3 p.m. and then taxied off to the right-hand shoulder, said Vic Valdes, a division chief with the Fremont Fire Department.

it's kinda neat because i work in Fremont, CA right off of this freeway so a co-worker and i drove down there and i was able to get a picture of it as we drove by.
funny thing is they don't mention on the radio that it landed near the "speed enforced by aircraft" sign.
