Isn't Real Madrid supposed to be filled with stars. Watching them for the first time and Real is getting slaughtered. They look like an AYSO team. They can't even clear the ball adequately. They're lucky the score isn't 30-0.

I remember when they picked up Beckham and everyone was comparing them to the Yankees. But the Yankees won. Are they like the Jailblazers then? Loaded with talent but can't get them to mesh?

Not big. I'm not a big fan. I just got interested in it when I was in London and couldn't find anything on to watch. Stupid supposed 4 or 5 star hotel only had like BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, etc. and Star 1, Star 2, Star 3, etc. Very boring. Then I saw a Newcastle game. It was actually an exciting one and I became a casual Newcastle and soccer fan after that.

But, Real Madrid is kinda like the Yankees. Even if you don't watch baseball, you've heard about them. Was channel surfing, saw the game was on, recognized the names of both teams and decided to see what all the fuss was about (regarding Real). Then prceeded to watch them get absolutely crushed.

Soccer is not big here. I do think it’s probably one of the more exciting games to watch but there is not a big interest. I think it’s funny how much time and attention is given to golf yet none for soccer. To me watching golf is like watching paint dry, except for a few significant events.

good comparison bryan330i. [rofl] actually soccer is one of the most involving games for players and spectators at a time. there are few brakes, the game goes on and on and goes back and forth all the time. that keeps you busy all the time. of course not if the match itself is boring, but in that case any sport is shitty to watch. there is only few games that fast and steady. hockey is even faster and accelerated.

on the other hand soccer games is simple in my books compared to football for instance. football has so much tactics and moves...coaches write books with moves and stuff...you might never see a soccer coach do that. they have some sets of how to organize defense and offense and then it is to kick and rush. with football there are plans, moves, false moves etc.... that´s like chess, only quicker and slightly harder [hihi]
