BMW's are the best

What do you guys say when people refute that? They come up with good excuses, but I can always shoot them ALL down. The best is "They are so expensive to fix" and I say "You're buying a BMW."

People always tell me - "Man, parts for that car must be so expensive." I just tell them that the parts for that car are no more expensive than any other car of that age, and in many cases are actually cheaper. I can't speak for newer BMWs, but my experience has been that the commonly replaced parts on the E30s are not really expensive at all. The crappy made-in-China reproduction parts for my Camaro are much more expensive and are mass-produced Chinese quality.

I had a guy in a brand new dodge ram pickup at a traffic light say "hey hows your hitler car", and I said "thats a dodge?" and he said "yea," and I said "hitler rode around in a mercedes... mercedes owns chrysler!" and he sped off

Justin - I've noticed that too. The fact that 99% of the parts last so much longer than equivalent parts on other cars kind of makes up for it.

Whats this thing ignorant Americans have with thinking anything related to Germany is NAZI affiliated? I am getting tired of it. As soon as people people found out I was moving to Munich they were saying things like "Why do you want to be a Nazi?" Common. A Nazi?
