Can we get a section for Alpinas

I don't think it would get much traffic at this site, but I am not opposed to it. The demographics are such that a lot of the members don't know much about Alpina.

There are very few Alpinas in the states. They were never officially imported, only grey-market (AFAIK), and a significant percentage of them are right-hand drive.

I like the old ones a lot. Love to find a nice B7S (E12), B9 (E28) or B10 (E34), to say nothing about a B12 5.7 (E31).

You would have to have it imported from europe.... go to www.alpinabmw.co.uk/ you can learn some more about them and there are some used ones for sale i like the (98 B10 v8 ) Orient blue with full black nappa leather.....now that is a car[hihi]

And an area for Alpinas would help us to learn some more about them.

seems like no one Likes Alpinas[:(]
Not at all. I love Alpinas. I just try not to think about them, because they are so rare in this Country. And if you do find an old one that was imported, you can't really drive it for fear it will break down. The parts for old ones are insane. We're talking ferrari V12 prices.

I like Alpina's too, but like Brahtw8 said, I try not to think about them since they're so hard to attain here. It's not worth the headache to bring one over when they cost that much. Someone on another forum owns a beautiful purple E46 Alpina coupe. I'll try and post pics when I have time.

Why not just get an M? [hihi]
I agree with you, though, Hitman. They are gorgeous cars! [eek]
Maybe I'll make an Alpina my next dream car instead of the Z8.

The thing is Alpinas are faster then normal bmws more luxo than normal ones and there build quality is better than normal. They are hand built cars[:)]They are not made to be any thing like the Ms wich are power to the max[:D] There to be the perfect love of luxo and performance[:)]
