He got fired back in November, but not for his on-air behavior since he was actually hired to act the way he did. The Charlotte FOX channel wanted a more "hip" news show that attracted younger audiences, and Mark Mathis was the center of that plan.

"Mark Mathis -- whose unpredictable, improvisational weather forecasts on Charlotte's Fox affiliate amused some viewers and infuriated others over the last two years was fired this week by WCCB-TV, two weeks after checking into rehabilitation for alcohol and substance abuse problems."

haha, that would explain his actions - he was drunk on crack the whole time! Still, pretty interesting - if you actually watched him I guess you'd have to get your weather elsewhere, because I wouldn't trust his predictions!
