I enjoyed reading the post 'smack my bytch up' where people were talking about testing their stereos to Prodigy. So i wanted to start my own thread about what music do you guys enjoy listening to the most when your in your bimmer. Or even for those when they get their very own BMW (as to not exclude epj3 and others [;)] )

well when im driving, i guess the bands that put me into 'driving mode' would be:
nine inch nails
aphex twin
ministry
kmfdm
prodigy

i could go on, but any of those bands primarily provide the perfect background music to my driving experience. [driving]

This is the exact same thread I had on the old board.

Note to everyone. Please do not bash each others' tastes in music. We are here to share tastes and broaden our horizons. Got it?

Metallica
KMFDM/MDFMK
Ministry
Paul Oakenfold
George Acosta
Louie DeVito
Reel Big Fish
Buck-O-Nine
Save Ferris
Nerf Herder
Bad Religion
God Lives Underwater
Die Toten Hosen
Die Arzte
Bloodhound Gang
Less Than Jake
Mustard Plug
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult
Violent New Breed
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones

As Heresy said, the list goes on forever.
....and speaking of Heresy, try listening to Revolting Cocks if you like Industrial Music. Also, Front 242 rocks!

Count Wadula, try Lords of Acid. Also, try Velvet Revolver. Guns & Roses with Scott Weiland (spelled wrong? - singer for Stone Temple Pilots) as the singer.

I can classify the stuff listed above:

Metallica - Metal
KMFDM/MDFMK - Industrial
Ministry - Industrial
Paul Oakenfold - Dance Techno
George Acosta - Dance Techno/House
Louie DeVito - Dance Techno/House
Reel Big Fish - Ska
Buck-O-Nine - Ska
Save Ferris - Ska
Nerf Herder - Punk
Bad Religion - Punk
God Lives Underwater - Electronic (these guys are kinda weird - slow and electronic)
Die Toten Hosen - Punk
Die Arzte - Punk
Bloodhound Gang - Rock/Rap (this is a difficult one for me to classify)
Less Than Jake - Ska/Punk
Mustard Plug - Ska
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Rock
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult - Dance Acid
Violent New Breed - Metal/Industrial
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Ska-Core (Ska/Metal)

I'm not a big fan of R&B. I'm not sure why. It just doesn't appeal to me. My sister loved it...so maybe I view it as chick music.....but dance mucic is usually chick music too. I guess I was more impressionable when I was younger. [;)]

As long as the music has some basis in rock, I'm happy! Here's the groups that are on my MP3 list at the moment;
Motley Crue
Rammstein
AC/DC
Cubanate
Nazareth
Led Zep
Sisters of Mercy
Type O Negative
The Stranglers
Steppenwolf
Kiss
Rob Zombie
Aerosmith
Metallica
BOC
Corrosion of Conformity
Monster Magnet
Nickelback
Billy Idol

nice! i didnt realize so many of you listened to good music. i was afraid that most of you would be into r&b, pop, or some top 40's crapola.

Bear, seems like you and i are on the same level with the music. Revolting Cocks are coming out with a new album, so is lard and ministry (al's a busy bee these days). i got pretty big into industrial when i was in high school so i appreciate bands like skinny puppy, sisters of mercy, einsturzende neubauten....
i even like stuff adamsonem listed like cky, rasputina (umm not the mc hammer though... your on your own there buddy... )
[rofl]

oh and lords of acid are great!
