I think it's good. People should get involved and vote. I really hate it when people bitch about politicians, and you ask them if they voted, and they answer NO. If you vote, then you are entitled to complain. If you don't vote, well, I don't want to hear the whining.

Our county has been inundated with new voters. According to a recent newspaper article, they got so many registrations they estimated the needed 1500 man hours to process them and they have a staff of FOUR. They put out a call for volunteers to do data entry, and several of the local colleges have gotten students to help out.

But THOUSANDS of minority voters will be turned away from the polls again this year. This is the ONLY reason that Kerry will lose this years election!!!!

Oh, wait, the following problems exist with the above statement.
1. They did not register to vote.
2. They have a felony conviction and are not allowed to register anyway.
3. They show up to the polls without a drivers license or voters registration card.

I think that it is great that more people are registering to vote. I even got my wife to register. One of the problems is that not enough people actually vote even though they registered.
