Just want to know what you all think:

Do you think that because the selection or election of the US President has such a tremendous impact the whole world, that voting for the US Presidency should be taken outside the borders of the US as well as in the the US. For example, should German citizens be able to post a vote for a US President.
I simply ask this because I was asked the same question by a foriegn national that believes it should be the right of the world to determin the worlds fate, and the US President does hold those cards...to an extent.

LOL....not unless the president is named World Caesar Supreme, thy Grand Determiner of Those Aginst Us or With Us, thy Exalted Defender of Wanted Dead or Alive, thy Mighty Holiest Abrogation-er of Int'l Law.

Or....not unless they pax taxes and own at least $500 billion of Bush's trillions of dollars of debt.

That's a very good question, but I still believe that US election voting should only be reserved for US Citizens.

I'm with epj - if they would like to join the US and pay taxes, I'd consider it.

Well on second thought, aren't most Germans liberal?

Forget it......

OK, when Osama Bin Laden, Yassar Arafat, Castro, etc, etc, etc, agree to allow US Citizens vote for their positions of authority and accept the outcome, then I'll agree to Foreigners voting for US President.

After all, if the Germans feel that Bush influences their world, certainly the above named individuals have influence MY world.
