Johnny Cash (1932-2003)

Growing up in Nashville, I was brought up around tons of country music. I remember seeing Johnny Cash at the Opry House one time. Well, this morning he died, and the whole city is in mourning. It's a sad day. I'm not sure how big he is in other parts of the country, but in Tennessee, he ranks up there with the big stars.

John Ritter also died yesterday from heart-related problem. I think this is a higher loss for me since I loved to watch "Three's Company" couple years back. He was a great actor. I can't really relate to Mr. Cash since I never listen to country and did not know him.

When I woke up this morning and heard the news on NPR, I started to cry I have never been a big fan of country but have always loved Johnny Cash. As for John Ritter, I am not familiar with any of his work but I am sure he was a very good actor.
