Isn't it a bad idea to transport those kinds of cars in a truck? If the truck tips and falls the cars are ruined! Although they don't have a choice do they.
better than driving the cars through whatever the road conditions are or the weather. I've never heard of one of those trucks flipping -- and in all seriousness...they WERE able to afford a new farrari and one of those trucks & trailers (which are very expensive!!!).
I know that's happened on the Mackinac bridge, blew right off. The bridge is between the U.P. and the lower penninsula of Michigan for those of you that don't know.
Its torture looking at those cars. Also Death Valey is in California, bordering with Nevada, and Colorado. Also never heard of trucks flipping there, the main area where trucks flip is down by Palm Springs, very strong winds.
In 1997 I was in Los Angeles on business and needed to kill a few hours before a 2 PM flight home. I went down to Rodeo Drive just to look around, and walked into the introduction parade and show for the 550 Maranello. They had blocked off Rodeo Drive and the Ferrari Club and dealers had like 50 Ferraris (NOT EXAGERATING!) on display! I thought I died and went to Ferrari heaven!!! They had 3 F40s there! I even bought the T Shirt and Poster. I found a web site with a few pics from it http://www.theautochannel.com/news/events/ferrari/
The really funny thing I remember was that Jerry Seinfeld was the official celebrity "spokesmodel" and drove the 550 into the spotlight with a Police Escort. All of the Ferrari enthusiasts were PISSED so bad. They were all bitching that Seinfeld is a Porsche fanatic - WTF is he doing here!?!?!?!?!
Only Ferraris I've ever seen outside autoshows, are the old school ones around here, I saw a F355 at ACE hardware, and when I was in Florida I saw a slick yellow 550. Wow those cars are awesome, just "a bit" out of my price range.
