My Car and Driver smells like flowers

My Car and Driver, the one with the yellow C6 Corvette on the cover, has a very strong flowery smell. There is a Volvo ad that has a little flap, that is supposed to be like a perfume ad, but it doesn't seem to actually smell. Is it just me? Maybe my issue was under some flowers or something, but I don't think so. I'm sure a ton of people on this board get Car and Driver, so tell me if your issue smells funny too.
