I have seen the new Golf/GTi in a few magainzes, but not the new Jetta. The new Golf looks nice, but they always show it with modest, ugly 15" wheels. I guess the GTi will get the "sport treatment".

tom i saw the pix of the jetta V and i dislike em, the back looks like a toyota corrola, the reason why i jumped on getting the 05 is because i didn't want the 06's. 1.8T motor is really nice, after putting the CAI you can hear the turbo sucking in the air amazing sound!

You know one thing that sucks about Jettas? The rear legroom is so bad. When a passenger sits behind me, it was okay because I'm only 5'7" and I sit close, but even any "average-sized" guy (like 5'9"-5'11") driving the vehicle just can't really have anybody sitting behind him, and that's just odd since the car IS a Sedan afterall.

Did they do away with the VR6 Jetta? I didn't see it on the website.

i think the 05's did! and with the 05's they've added 6 speed manual which i love! heh

Nice ride and FAST mover, I have seen a couple on the autobahn movin out....(not contenders for the Bangle Mobile) but fast enough to get yourself asking,"SHEESUSS, what in the world is that?"

Yeah, VW has been playing around with their models a lot lately. The Jetta GLI originally had the 200hp VR6 motor, 6-speed manual, 17" sport wheels, no ground effects or anything, a twin-pipe exhaust, regular sport seats and pretty much regular interior. As you can see, phobiaz's GLI is a VERY different GLI.
