i've owned 2 bimmers and have to say that the turning radius on bmw's are second to none. just the other day the car ahead of me was making a uturn at an intersection and had to pull in reverse in order to clear the sidewalk..hahahaha. i then followed the same turn without any problems. what do you guys think?[burnout]

Mercedes is the same way.
My wagon, of all things, could turn on a dime. not really, but it was comparable to large bmw's.
Actually, you could bring any european rear wheel drive car into this arena. Except audi.

no one said the handbrake should be used for stopping. turning was the point and turning, as you know, is a moving action. and btw, the handbrake does stop the car, it just takes a little longer. and sometimes i really like that smell [hihi]

The BMW 3-series has a very tight turning radius. For comparison, the BMW 330Ci has a turning diameter of 34.4 feet and the G35 Coupe has a turning diameter of 37.4 feet. Some of you may think that 3 feet is no big deal, but it is actually a very significant difference in real-world driving.
