The Ultimate Drive started July 1, 2003, in the Northeast and has been making its way across the rest of the US. The Ultimate Drive in Ohio was August 15-22nd. The calendar shows six BMW locations in Ohio participated. I'm not sure why I received this calendar this late in date.

Aside from insurance purposes, I'm sure that no sub-21 year olds would take up BMW on that offer. All the cars say "Breast Cancer" all over them...it's pretty embarrassing, frankly. A few years ago, I saw a few BMW's like that running around...there was one guy driving a Z3 with the top down and "Breast Cancer" was in huge letters on the car...yeah, he looked real cool. [?|]

christobal, do you have breast cancer?
i didnt know you were loved me[:p] [rofl]

What i ment is remember that when someone like your mom, sister or wife dies from brest cancer.

If i were saving lives by raising money i wouldnt give a Damn if i looked 'cool'[rolleyes]

We had a family friend die of breast cancer and would gladly go and help them raise money at one of these events however im only 19 and therefore cant drive one of their cars. So That is why i take offence to your comments about looking gay or not cool or whatever.[mad]

Who cares what you look like in a car that's all done up like that. Just remember that BMW donated a dollar for every mile put on those cars. You get to help out a great cause all by just driving a new BMW, what could be better!

I don't care how old you are, you need to drive a 760i, holy crap what a sweet car[headbang]

Being a BMW tech must be difficult with everyone always asking you questions for free advice.......or all your friends don't drive a BMW..........I'm excited to have you on this board.....there are some doozy situations...........BTW, have you heard how much money has been raised so far??

Buddy, I love these cars, so much that I chose to make BMW my career! I have had extensive training on everything from about E46 till present. I don't know everything, but have access to all the tools to find out what I need to. I really don't mind helping out when ever I can, especially when it's a bunch a people who like BMW's as much as I do. Don't be afraid to ask, this is what I know, and if I can help I'de love to. Hope that didn't sound too cheesy!

I don't know the exact amount of money that has been raised so far, sorry. The first figure that came to mind was 6 million since the beginning of the program. That is a complete guess, but I could swear that I heard or read that somewhere.

thanks for the positive response....maybe you can help Kirby and the guys who are having such major problems with their 2004 330CI trannies, some are willing to forego owning a BMW ever again......they are all listed on the E46 forum...........

Each year they usually raise 1 million, was just hoping this was an even better year..........

BTW........I'm a buddette............[rofl] [rofl]

Hey, females can be buddys too, I think? We just received all the vehicles from the Susan Kolmen event, I didn't think there were so many. They arn't painted up all that bad, I'd drive a 760i that looked like that ever day. When somebody chuckles at you, Turn your nose up and blow their doors off![shake]

it depends on why you take that test drive.. if you just wanna look cool in a beemer, erm, yer gay.. vs if yer out to help out w/ the cause, and take one for a ride, then that's cool

i was actually going to test drive one, but i didnt' really know what was going on, and when i finally went up to the booth, they were closing up, and all i had to sign up and show em my licnese, or something..

yes, the paint job is a bit erm, not manly.. but it's not like they are fighting prostate cancer or something.. hey, i'll take a bmw on a rippin test drive in the name of finding the cure!! why not? ^^

back to original point, the event was pretty cool, cept it was too short, durin the autox run, i totally messed up on one of the turns.. i pretty much had to fully brake to get the car under control.. still didn't post the worst time, so that wasn't too bad.. but wish i had more time on track, without all those old folks around [:p] and the 3 lap practice wont' help you over come the rush of "i gotta be the fastest" when the time comes.. if yer a autox noob like i was [:I]
