Went paintballing today (pictures)

Good story... read on.. pics too.

**If you dont want to see a pretty gross welt, then I suggest not looking at the pictures**

So just about every weekend my friends and I head out and play paintball. Ushually its at my friends house, he has tons of property and lots of hills and ditches. Well, today, we decide to go down by the river to some other kids house, where there are like 10 people over the age of 20, with $600 guns and about 6-7 years expierience. So we're like oh $hit, we're screwed. So its our normal squad against all the adults and there kids, I think it ended up being 15 on 15. So we play, get our asses kicked... no big deal. Last game my friend and I were hiding in a fort, they got my friend and they had no clue I was there. I popped up and took 2 of the 4 out, hid back down behind the fort to figure out what I was going to do next. About half a second after I pop up again I get hit from 5 feet away in the chest, throw my gun up and say I'm done, just to get hit from about 15 feet in the NECK. My neck swol up and there was a huge bump, it looked like a tumor. I was pissed, started cussing them out, barely stopping my self from shooting the bastards. The funny thing was is that the Dads told us the rules, some of them being not to shoot anyone closer than 10 feet, and to stop firing after the gun is in the air. So they apologized, but of course the "bad ass" 20 year old that shot me had to be all stupid and try to make it look like it was my fault. Oh well, just needed to vent.

No, just a t-shirt. Ushually nobody shoots from close range, and the guy had his CO2 velocity turned WAY too far up.
I could tell. I got nailed in the neck one time from about 10 feet away, and it wasnt half that bad, just looked like a hickey. what a dick.

Wow.. Ive been playing Paintball for a few years now and thats pretty bad. Best armor against paintballs is baggy clothes/ layers. Helps A LOT. I have had a bunch of bruises like that on my back before, just a tad less severe.. I got popped in the ass before from 5 feet away... =/

Well, i forgot to mention it was pretty hot. Anything more than a long sleeve would have been quite warm. I've actually played without/been hit without a shirt on. But the guy had a normal velocity and it was from a pretty good distance. I know padding would have helped, but the guy was just being stupid. Nothing can overcome stupidity with a 350+FPS paintball gun, your basically screwed.

LOL, sounds like a plan. I can barely notice the one on my chest, unless I touch it. My neck is throbbing with pain, like I have a muscle cramp or something. I think I'll go take 6 more Advil then go to bed.

Ouch, yeah, there's always the risk of some numbnut who dials up the CO2 when you're just playing at someone's house with no real regulations. Baggy clothes is just about your only real protection in the summer.

If you're really prepared, you can wear thicker clothing like jerseys or camos, and just chug ice water before and after each game to keep from getting heat stroke.

Ya, my team is going to play those guys again, the were talking so much shit, but just the highschool guys. No adults with their $600 guns. My friend actually has some kind of measurment tool to see what FPS the gun is shooting. Were gonna do a 6 on 6 with everyones gun measured. What really pissed me off was that all the guys talking crap hardly did anything in the match, the older people got all the kills. I'll be sure and update everyone after the game happens. I'm sure we'll win.

Well, make a rule that they can't install toolless adjusters for teh CO2 on their guns. Every commercial paintball field will have a guage to check the FPS of guns. They're not that expensive. However, those can be defeated if you have a toolless adjuster. My gun had one. Makes it easy to dial your gun in at the FPS guage without having to come back multiple times. However, cheaters can dial it up during teh game. Make sure to set up all the rules beforehand, and not let anyone in if they don't take out that adjuster. It's no big deal, you can do it in the time it takes to clean your gun so they can't whine and complain.

I'm not real concerned about the CO2 pressure, I just want a fair game. So many of them wiped off the paint after being shot multiple times. As long as they are honest its no big deal. My Spyder E-99 can mess some stuff up with the pressure all the way up, so if the want to cheat and play dirty, I'll give it right back to them. As much as I hate to do it, they need to be tought a lesson.
