What the commercial should be is, the X5 is driving at high speeds on a twisty road, then hits a muddy dirt road. You know, to show off it's capabilities, not some goofy angels.

The X5 doesn't really have any off-road capabilities, the most it ever encounters is potholes and small puddles. Even if it did have some sort of extreme off-road capabilities, I doubt the owner of one would take it through the Sahara or anything. Personally I think SUVs are useless unless you really need one. It rides like a boat, it's huge, it blocks 80% of everything in sight. Also, one end of the gas hose is connected to the tank, and the other to your wallet.

The commercial is pretty dumb, I have to admit BMW makes the dumbest commercials when it comes to all the German brands. I think the best commercials are made by Volkswagen, they're pros at advertising. The dumbest commercials arre made by Cadillac, they make no sense and they play that idiot music at the end of every single one.

Yeah, BMW sucks at making commercials. But I have to admit that the new Escalade commercials are 1000x better than that of the X5. How could you say that Led Zeppelin is "idiot music"? I'd be interested to see what you think qualifies as good music...

I don't see how Led Zeppelin is "idiot music" either but the Cadillac commersialc have gotten better over time. I watched an old ('94) Cadillac commercial for my business class and they showed this family with one probably 4-6 year old child. The dad says that he needs a big luxury car for his family and then they show all three of them riding on the front bench seats. Why would you need huge rear seats if you only use the front ones?
