Bad words

What is it that makes certain words so bad¿ I realize that the context has a lot to do with it, but you can just say some words with out even using any context and they are really offensive. take the c word for instance. Why is it so much worse than other words for the female genitalia¿

What about it compaired to other slang words. If I told my ex-girlfriend that she was being a b!tch, she would get a little mad. If I told her she was being the c word, she would lop off my head with a broken dinner plate.

Used as a disparaging term for a person one dislikes or finds extremely disagreeable.

Like Big Daddy there is no use for this word in any language............

Because men have used the term to be the lowest and most degrading way to describe a woman.........

Just like "squaw" was used to degrade an Indian woman..............

Why is it that certain words are used more in certain cultures. Take the Scotish with the words presently in question. Besides, degradation has been done to everybody for thousands of years. Is it the actuall sound of the word that springs such violent replies¿

Wow I'm pathetic, I had to think about what the c word was, don't worry I got it. As for using the word, I'm indifferent, swear words are meaningless to me. I don't swear much, but they are everywhere in movies, I find it funny when people bring up bad words that I completely missed, especially when they're shocked.

Big Daddy told you why...........there is no other definition for the "C" word other than the lowest degradation of a woman............

IMO............I feel the use of the word grants permission to assess great bodily harm to that person..............

Everyone should expand their use of the English language.........dont go for the easy words that do not require any intelligence ..........

I am not trying to obfuscate how offensive the word is, I am just trying to figure out freakish anomalies such as the word f@ggot. It was perfectly respectable term until somebody used it as slang. Now, it, along with others, can not be used in any context without somebody taking offense. To be able to propoerly use a word in the correct contextand still have somebody take offense to it is idiotic.

Okay, let's get to basics here...........

Many words have a definition from the beginning and to the end.......the "C" word has the same definition from beginning to end........DEROGATORY, PURE AND SIMPLE.........no other definitions........no other slang terms.........just "ONE" definition........

Many words such as faggot, bitch, etc. have different definitions from the beginning and to the end...........what causes the problem for these words is how it is used and by who is using the word.......therefore some people have permission to use these words with others and some people do not have permission to use with others..........I have many friends who are homosexual and they will use this term with their friends......but others use these terms and use them in a derogatory manner, therefore it is not acceptable practice.....just like slang words to describe minorities.......they may use slang words in talking with their friends but take offense if white people use these terms, because it is most often used for derogatory purposes.

But the "C" word cannot be used by anyone to mean anything other than its one and only definition..........Kapeesh????
