I found this Car-O-Scope on cars.com where you can be "evaluated" as to how well you fit your car. I thought this was hilariuos and would forward the link (at bottom of page) in case anyone wanted to try it. I laughed the whole time I was reading the results. Especially the car recommendations, I mean really, Me in a Dodge Stealth? It is funny to read your results though, it can lighten your day a bit.

Here is mine:

Boy oh boy, Bryan, you picked a vehicle that just isn't quite right for you, although you're reasonably compatible in terms of your age, status consciousness, your income, and how much you really care about your car.

When compared to other people who drive a BMW 3, you're a little too much of a risk-taker, you're more generous than other owners, you're just too educated to be driving a BMW 3, and you are much more objective and logical

You certainly are a bit of a nut case, aren't you, when it comes to taking chances (well, at least compared to other BMW owners). Calm down. CALM DOWN! It's not the end of the world, for heaven's sake. And nobody is asking you to change anything about who you are. We'd never do that. Go ahead. Jump off a cliff if that's what makes you happy. But, if this is really what you are, you're gonna have to change vehicles.

Compared to most other BMW owners, you certainly aren't the type who squeezes a nickel to see if the buffalo will cough up a dime. No, not you. Quite the contrary. Let's face it, you're far too generous a person to be driving a BMW. So continue to "cast your bread upon the waters," and Car-O-Scope will find a vehicle that's more compatible with your generous nature.

Some of us have an overdeveloped left brain, and some have an overdeveloped right brain. And your strength is definitely on the left: logic and objectivity. This is not a bad thing. We do need rocket scientists. But it makes you somewhat incompatible with your BMW. Other BMW 3 owners are a bit more "touchy-feely" than you. But you are what you are, so take your pick: Change what you are or get a new car. (That rhymes, doesn't it? Oops, that's a right-brain thing. Sorry.)

Car-O-Scope Makes Suggestions for More Compatible Vehicles
Have no fear, Car-O-Scope is here to save you from a life of misery, depression and hemorrhoidal flare-ups. Through a secret and proprietary process (patent pending) the official car-o-scope has determined that your psychographic and demographic profile is far more compatible with the following vehicles: some of these suggestions might surprise you. But try to keep an open mind. It's quite possible that the car-o-scope has discovered some hidden and/or repressed aspects of your personality.

1. Volvo 760
2. Dodge Stealth
3. Saab 9000
4. BMW 528
5. Toyota 4 Runner

"But don't delay! Your health, happiness and general well being are at stake here. Don't drive that BMW 325i for another day." That's what it told me. It also said that I cared too much about my car compared to other 325i drivers. "Boy oh boy, Austin, you picked a vehicle that just isn't quite right for you. You're compatible with your BMW 325i only in terms of your grasp of reality.

When compared to other people who drive a BMW 325i, you're a little too much of a risk-taker, you're a bit too young to be driving this vehicle, you're, well--to be generous--a bit too frugal, your educational level is a bit lower than that of other BMW 325i owners, other BMW 325i owners make more money than you, and you care a bit too much about your car compared to other BMW 325i owners."

Who would ever think of those cars together on the same list for the same person. [???1] Not exactly scientific is it.

I wonder where they get this information from. It must just be a total joke with not as much behind it as they claim.

I don't think it's all age....

You certainly are a bit of a nut case, aren't you, when it comes to taking chances (well, at least compared to other BMW M3 owners). Calm down. CALM DOWN! It's not the end of the world, for heaven's sake. And nobody is asking you to change anything about who you are. We'd never do that. Go ahead. Jump off a cliff if that's what makes you happy. But, if this is really what you are, you're gonna have to change vehicles.

Compared to most other BMW M3 owners, you certainly aren't the type who squeezes a nickel to see if the buffalo will cough up a dime. No, not you. Quite the contrary. So continue to "cast your bread upon the waters," and Car-O-Scope will find a vehicle that's more compatible with your generous nature.

Gee, this is interesting. Car-O-Scope has determined that you are a person who is quite concerned with status. And yet, you're driving a BMW M3. Other BMW M3 drivers just aren't as much of a snob as you are. We're going to have to do something about this, now aren't we?

Some of us have an overdeveloped left brain and some have an overdeveloped right brain. And your strength is definitely on the right: the more creative, touchy-feely side. This is not a bad thing. The world certainly does need poets, musicians and people to work on the world psychic network.

But this characteristic does make you somewhat incompatible with your BMW M3. Other BMW M3 owners are more objective and logical. But you are what you are, so take your pick: Change what you are or get a new car. (That rhymes, doesn't it? And rhyming is a right-brain thing. Cool.)

And their recomendations;
1. Honda Passport

2. BMW 328i

3. BMW 2002

4. BMW 528

5. Volvo 244

Hey! At least 3 outta 5 were BMW's! [thumb]

Still waiting for my results. I sent them an email to complain about the paucity of car models listed (NO NSX!) and the fact that they don't distinguish between model years. The demographics for a 1987 325i and a 2003 325i are quite different.

I took their stupid survey b/c they said to do so if your car wasn't on the list. It still wasn't an option on the survey. They had a choice for a convertible, but not a coupe? WTF!?! [?|] I bet the owners of that web page live in some downtown city yet drive Excursions or some other useless vehicle.
