I think the idea is the larger the tires, the more you are making up for “shortages” in other areas. Smaller tires would indicate that you do not have issues of "size" and are otherwise abundant and capable. [:D]

Heh, whoever put the 1 vote in for 22"....stop lying !!
Hey, did you guys know that if you're really into the bling-bling and you wanna upgrade your SUV's stock 17" wheels to 22" (or even 20") wheels, you are supposed to change the brakes also !! When you upgrade by 3", 4", or 5" the car has significantly more rolling mass, so it will take your stock brakes significantly longer to stop the car and they will just be working harder.
For example, if you are a pimp daddy with an Escalade and you wanna change the rims to 22" bling-bling chromies, then you should REALLY upgrade the stock 12.5" rotors to drilled and vented (slotted) 14" rotors, bigger calipers, and better brake pads. I mean, at the very least, if you guys have ever gone up close to an Escalade with 20"+ rims, you will see that the huge wheels completely dwarf the stock rotors, making the brake setup look like a joke. But I guess everybody is too busy looking at the chromies to bother with that...especially if the vehicle has spinners! [burnout]

I just saw some 24" on an Escalade, best wheels I've ever saw. Next time I go down there I am going to take a picture and frame it. Cost a nice 8k though.
