I inferred that by calling Crupdawg a fool, you were trying to make yourself feel smarter (or at least appear smarter) by putting him down. I was trying to point out that people who live in glass houses should not cast stones.

UNABILITY is not even a word. You may continue calling our friend Crupdawg stupid if you want, but even he knows the correct word is INABILITY.

Next time you call someone a fool, please do not try to appear foolish yourself.

I do not want a fight with you. I was merely standing up for Crupdawg from your supposedly superior verbal onslaught. He is NOT stupid or a fool because his views are different from yours. Everyone is different. Get over it.

that is another point of course and could show two things: 1st he is very good speaker and motivator or 2nd the members who listen to him are too easy to be influenced. oh, well there is of course the 3rd one that this time for this aspect they were all of the same opinion, connected to information given by the government and amybe public pressure. I don´t want to state a judgement or conclusion as my knowledge as far as the US politcal system is concerned, is far too small to allow me to.

i am just happy that the US-German relationship gets a little warmer, not that i ever encountered any cold weather, but our press just jumps up and down at the moment [hihi] ....politics....[rolleyes] [hihi]

I see the merit in your statements. Being a country that helps is what we need to do. We already do it a lot, but we need to practice more on peaceful helping. There are certain situations where peaceful intervention are futile, though.
I disagree with you about people not hating us for what we are. Some people despise the fact that we have what we have....freedom (or the illusion thereof). Some people hate us because our women are allowed to vote and have rights. There are lots of reasons Americans are hated....but what you mentioned just happens to be on top of the list currently.

Some weirdos believe that the only reason people hate us is that they are 'jealous' of our big cars and big stars. That's what I'm saying is a wrong idea...we do deserve some hatred though, killing civilians for example. I know it really cannot be helped during wartime, but you know...

What many fail to realize is that bush might have good foreign policy, but where is it putting us? Unemployment rates are at their highest since bush senior was in office. The national deficit is at it's worse since...well...bush senior was in office. I think it is quite clear that "Foreign Policy" was/is their priority. A deficit of -400 billion dollars and unemployment rate of 6.4% (Source is absolutely outragious. Please, do not think I am trying to say Clinton was the best president ever (...as most people ASSUME), but face it, he did a HELL of a lot better job in his eight years, than the two Bush's combined 8 years.

Pretty much correct. I'm playing both sides because I agree with certain foreign policy actions, and others are think are a mstake. I'm smart/old/wise enough to realize that there are MANY issues in foreign policy that I don't understand, There are MANY peices of intelligence that we have that cannot be made public that affect foreign policy decisions. I used to work for a military signal intelligence (electronic eavesdropping) defense contractor, believe me, I know.

Bush has a foreign policy to speak of. It might not be the best, but one exists.
I find it interesting that the republicans are trying to stimulate the economy by giving money to the people. Lots of money is being spent on soldiers and tax cuts. I'm used to the "trickle down" theory of economics from the republicans....and the democrats are usually the ones to create jobs for the unemployed. Perhaps my view on politics has been gilded....or perhaps change is occurring before our very eyes.

All I can say is - I agree. I think we are going through yet another change in economic models, and no one is sure where it's headed. For now we can call it the "Mature Dot.com, where are we going?" economy. Maybe the economy IS stable - we just don't know how to recognize it.
