Being in the Armed services, and deployed, I will move out of the country if I get back and Kerry is commander in chief. People give all this shit about Bush being in the guard, but I am a reservist. People say Kerry is a war hero, but in all actuallity he took 3 purple hearts that he didn't deserve in order to get himself out of harms way. If kerry were to win and pull out the armed services from Afghanistan and Iraq he would be creating a monster. I want somebody that will put their foot down, and let me do the job I am trained to do. Not someone that runs around screaming "I have 3 purple hearts". We all know that you are suffering from severe Labial Myalgia Kerry, but grow some balls and become the man that you pretend to be.

isn't it horrible that people choose their vote by the lesser of two evils. i hope in 2008 we have candidates that will make us vote for the greater of the two greats. but we'll have to a wait a few years before you guys can all just vote for me, now that'd be easy.

i think i already stated that i'll be voting for Bush. I support the general conservative ideals, and i think that we need to keep Bush in for the long haul with this iraq thing. I'm very very afraid John Kerry will feel forced to take action so quickly that he won't get in and figure his shit out first.

think of it has John Kerry will probably salt his food before he tastes it.

on a side note, i have decided to run for president of the internet

Boiled down, I think you hit the nail on the head of what this election is going to be about. Do we need more balls and swagger in iraq or a little brains and humility in our foreign policy? As for the smear on Kerry's service, you should be ashamed, even more so if you are a veteran yourself. That's about as low and dishonorable as it gets. As an independent, I'm almost inclined to vote against the republicans for that alone. And politics shouldn't be entering military decisions, like taking that city twice only the pull back and postponing offensives until after the election. The greater problem is asking our armed services to act like policemen.

"As for the smear on Kerry's service, you should be ashamed" I might agree somewhat, but Kerry alone put his service in the forefront. The real record is that when his deferment was denied he joined the Navy to avoid the war, he did "not want to get involved". He never volunteered to go to Vietnam as so many want to proclaim. As the brat dependant of a father who served in three wars, including two tours in Vietnam, I am grateful for Kerry's service, but offended by his anti-war slandering of his fellow service personnel.

I don't think the answer lies in either party. Yall can make fun of me, because after all, I'm still only 19. I think it's time we get more than 2 parties. I think it's terrible that people like me have to choose between two parties that anger me equally. That's why I'm voting for Michael Badnarik of the Libertarian Party. Firstly, I agree with the majority (but not all) of the positions the party takes. Also, it's not throwing your vote away. That's what the other two major parties want you to think. When I vote Libertarian, then people take notice and might vote for them in the next election.

I'm just sick and tired of Republican and Democratic crap. People need to get over their fear and vote for what they believe in, and not settle for something they really don't want to.

Look into some other parites positions and decide what you want.
Bub, keep thinking free minded like that, I hope more folks from your generation are thinking like this. Don't let old fogeys push you into thinking how they want you to, last time I checked, you could at least THINK whatever you wanted, even if ya couldn't say it anymore..

Our foriegn policy does not always sway those in the Middle East, nobody LIKE'S War, this is such a liberal misconception, at times it takes war to save a larger peace. Kerry and his potential appeasement will absolutely send the wrong signal to militants. Remember militants grow up knowing guns far better than Math & Science.

If Kerry gets elected - remember this post, Kerry doesnt have a "platform" period & cant make up his mind on Iraq, how many flip-flops do you want ? I have been around long enough to know what happens when you put a liberal in office.
