I had already said (basically) what bearswife and epj3 was saying and we are still going on about how cruel humans are to other creatures and we are all on the same level of equality (humans and other animals that is).
I suppose this conversation is here to educate those that say, "just look what we do to those poor kittes"
I dont condole cruel experimentation or beating animals in anyway, but if you take into context, the amount of greater good that one kitty did for all of us by being the guineapig for some weird and twisted brain experiment, we could that much closer to finding a cure for things like parkensons or cancer.
Because we are at the top of the food chain (simply speaking), we take it upon our self to select subjects to help in our search for what ever it may be. We dont do it out of the dark cruelty of our hearts, we do it because we are trying to gain medical knowledge to help people like you that will suffer greatly, when you get old, of some crazy disease.... beacse you didnt eat meat, hehehe, j/k.
Im sorry our subjects are cute kitties or rodents or monkees or jews (hehe). but listen, if you dont read anything in my post, read this. If you had a disease that had the potential to kill everyone else, just because you are alive, would you take your own life?
You would. And you would because we are human. Being human provides us the ability to make that decision to help everyone else.
Other creatures do not have the understanding that if they give their life for research, that that creature could help millions of others. So we do the part of removing that decision from them, and selecting them as the patient. It might seem cruel, but thats the power that we as humans have. The power to do good, unfortunate that it looks bad on fuzzy little animals.
I bet you wouldnt be complaining if it were a regular fish cause its ugly. So what i was going to say earlier and figured i better explain it to you so i dont seem like such an ass by saying i dont expect to have an inteligent conversation with someone uneducated in such matters.
To put is extremely simply, this is life. This is the way it has to be and the way it ever will be. Suck it up.
