The M-coupe has nice performance, but I really don't like the hatch. The roadster looks much better.

If you want a new car with the new car warranty, I'd much prefer an Evo or STi. Both will cost the same as the VW and both have better performance. Plus, the aftermarket on those cars are huge.

Actually I just saw a Z3 coupe about twenty minutes ago. The only thing that I have noticed about both the Z3's and the coupes is that their chassis isn't that stiff.

roadster with a hardtop! [scratch]
Not quite, the Coupes are much much more rigid than the verts the M version is even better

The car to have if your going to put serious power down is the Coupe...the verts are too flimsy compared to the coupes and the weight distribution is better on the Coupe...helps with traction/handling

As far as the evo, sti being better cars....far from the truth stock for stock the M coupe is just as quick as the STI and is a few ticks quicker than the EVO

Factor in you have two extra cyls and a 3.2L motor vs. 2.5L and you can see a turbo M coupe will put a hurting on an STI.....factor in roadcourse duty where the Coupe is just as light if not lighter than the four door counterparts and the M becomes a lapping terror

The one thing I would change (if I could change it) would be the placement of the motor....the M is retro design and uses a long hood FR setup that is very elegant but not as efficient for road course duty as an MR setup....an MR M coupe with a turbo would decimate an EVO on the tarmac

Dont forget the motor is an inline 6 which can rev high, has more displacement and can essentially make more power....its a natural extention of my current civic..more cubes, rwd and lower, wider and meaner
