No.. more like social sciences...

Take African-American Political Science Class that I have to take... I refuse to read his propoganda-filled books of why blacks are better and everyone with white skin is responsible for their misserable lives and how affirmative action had absolutely no benefit to the black community (teacher's opinion)... what a bunch of BS!! [:(!] How about taking charge of your own life and stop creating a scape goat of everyone... it is because of this attitude that racism still excists. [mad] Those classes are the ones that break my A strikes... but if not for that I usually stay in the top 5% of the class... now only if I can start doing my homework (but thats another story) [:I]

This has the potential to turn into a very diverse and touchy subject. I COMPLETELY aggree with what you said, but I find it rather amusing that an extreme liberal such as yourself would have such strong negative feeling about the Black suffering in the community today. I understand that being a liberal does not give a certain set of deadbolt values about the ideologies behind such arguements. However that was a very conservative, "f*ck you fend for yourself", kind of statement. Overall, I am extremely proud of you!

I just wanted to add that for those of you with 3.5+ GPAs, it is entirely dependent on what your major was...getting a 4.0 in textiles doesn't really amount to anything. It is the career which you pursue or attempt to pursue (medical school) well after college that serves as whether you have done well in life or not.

I pursue what my minds wants to learn. People who think of smart people think only of two scholastic destinations: medical school or law school. But do you see every happy person who is destinctly bright follow that path... no! I hate subjective classes and tend to do well with precision... so we will see what happens of me. I will follow my instinct and try to do what I love for as long as I can.

My 172 LSAT and graduating magna cum laude from law school a semester early are probably my most prestigious academic accomplishments. (That translates into a class rank of around 15 of 280).

Otherwise, you can add being in the top 1% on most every standardized test known to man (not counting the GMAT, MCAT, etc., which I did not take for obvious reasons), ie the ACT, SAT, NMSQT (aka PSAT), PACT. I was a national merit scholar.

I also graduated college a semester early, with a BA in Philosophy. If I had not partied all of the time, it would have been two years early.

What box do you think I checked? [;)]

I never graduated high school, but I managed to smack a 4.0 down in five of the schools hardest classes when I was seventeen. This still wouldn't classify me as a genius.

Being a genius doesn't neccesariily depend on your intelligence. But rather what you can do with the intelligence that you have. I personally believe that it has more to do with ambition, curiousity, and creativity.
