owners describe the speed like this:

between 40 and 120 nothing will touch it this side of a porsche.

thats all i can say. 0-60 is 5.5ish but thats not impressive. you can stick it in 4th at 70Mph and just put your foot down and within like 20secs your doing 140Mph!!! i have raced the M5 around town in my E30 and it doesn't get away that easily until you hit a long straight. (he spun the wheels for about 20feet and there 255's [;)] ) the handling is supurb and like described on TOP GEAR by the short one [:D] it is just a racing car with a 4 door sedan shell[thumb] definatly worth a go but you will fall in love with it[;)]
Well that does it, I'm getting a black E34 M5![:D]

I would like to chime in on this one but I can't really say what I want like 3 years from now. What I do know is that it has to look great, has to handle well, has to do 0-60 in 5.5 seconds or faster (I have become addicted to the speed), and it probably has to be AWD, and it has to be luxurious inside and out. That's all I can say for now.

Sounds like good criteria for a car. [:D]

I have been thinking about an M roadster but they are a bit hard to find. I did find a white one last week but it was not very well taken care of.

im thinking about getting a 2002 or an old porsche to restore........
You thinking about a 911? Seriously, the 911 is the only car that is threatening the M5 as my possible next car. But then I think of insurance[8] a M5 isn't going to be cheap either[hihi]
