Anti - M website...wtf?!

Bring it don't sing it pinky. If your car is so superior why aren't you out enjoying it instead of searching the net for naked 18yr old girls in pig tails. Oh, is it cause your mom has the car getting grocerys.
Seriously guys, if you even took the time to check out this dudes site you would see that he is a true car enthusiast. He actually owns a conquest he's not "looking for one". You jumped on the bandwagon to post on a topic created by a guy that drives a Pontiac Montana. WTF! is right. You're heads are so far up your asses that you can't recognize or appreciate any thing other than your Bimmers. "If the wheel dosen't fall on my foot when I take the lug studs off... its a piece of crap." Thats what you sound like. Oh wait I realize that joke will not make sense to 80% of you guys. I forgot BMW owners don't do thier own service work.
Before you start with... "you have never sat in a BMW" I have. I worked at a dealer ship for 10 years and my mother in law just bought an 03 528is. Its a nice car as it should be for that much money. Is it way over priced? Hell yeah. That dosen't mean I'm going to every Bimmer forum and talk smack about it.
Most of you guys don't even know what a conquest looks like or anything about it. Its obvious that some did'n know it was turbocharged from the factory. To that I say do your home work before you talk smack about a car you know nothing about. As for artinist calling his " posse " to back him up. He didn't have to, we take pride in the cars we drive and don't appreciate ignorant people like you talking smack about it. To that I say STFU and go back to your little coprate board meeting with you power tie and wait for 5 o'clock so you can drive home in your 1988 318i, the ultimate driving machine.[rolleyes]

PS Mike, is that you'r pu55y in you'r avitar?
Ok, wow, I don't even know where to start....

I don't know why you felt the need to throw the personal attacks in there, but I'll just ignore them. I've got a '92 325i. I know it's an older car but I would take it any day over anything that Mitsubishi ever came out it with. There are several reason for this including the interior and exterior design which I believe is surpassed only by that of a few other European cars. While the acceleration is not mind blowing, it is certainly enough for me. I may be young but I have driven many cars and I can honestly say that the BMW has a very distinct feel that you can not get from any other car.

The reason I am not out driving my car is because I don't get my license till november 11th, so until then I have to wait to drive with someone older that me in the car with me. And no, my mom is not using it. She respects the fact that I paid for it in full on my own, so she drives her own car.

Another point that you brought up is that BMW owners do not work on their cars. I think this is one of the stupidest things you could have posted on this website, considering this website is primarily for people who need advice while working on their cars! I've done a lot of work on my car since I've had it and I feel damn good about it. I don't think its very smart of you to make such a sweeping generalization about BMW owners!

One last thing is that you said this guy is a real "car enthusiest". Well look at the pictures from his site. It's clear that he does a shitty job maintaining his car and doing work on it. The car is dirty in every picture and everything looks halfassed. That thing could accelerate fast but I would love to feel the ride quality cruising at 110MPH.

Also, just because the car comes factory turbocharged doesn't mean anything. You could put a turbo on a ride-on lawn mower and it would be fast as hell. Comparing turbo/supercharged anything to a stock engine without forced induction is bullshit.

Oh yes, and piss off!!!!

I just wanna ask this question to all the ricers out there, and see what they come up with:

If it was really that easy to make your car have an extra 300hp, then why doesn't the manufacturer do it?
First off I am no more a ricer then you are so please refrain from calling me a ricer...
ugly wing? nope
Fart can exhaust? nope
ugly body kit? nope
stock 300hp 305Ftlbs of torque? check[:D]
Is my car the best or fastest out there? nope
do i like it and am i happy that i bought it? yep

BMWs are great cars just not for me there are better cars for me at a better price.

Mitsu over the past 10 years has dominated WRC claimed more manufactur titles then any other company and thats on basically stock cars not one off 100million dollar racers

By the way buddy a BMW is an Import to the US[:p]

guys lets keep this discussion relevant to the topic...bmw guys don't bash mitsu guys don't say we're all ignorant

take your 89 starion stock and your 89 BMW M3 stock and put two good drivers in them. the m will win on a track and at the drag and at the autoX course

mod your 89 starion, and race a rich guy in a new E46 m3 who can't really drive that well. yes u will walk all over him.

the bmw is a rip off new in my opinion but i'd def go for it used in a heartbeat.

and yes the evo and the sti will walk all over a m3 but wait til M introduces thier new car.

Good point. Not possible. An extra 300 requires a whole new engine and many other things. That's why the cost is so much more for a car with 300 more hp and it shows how full of sh!t these guys are. Sorry, but they deserve what they get here.

I work at one of the largest bmw dealers in the country and all i have to say is that bmws are not what a lot of you proclaim them to be. I drive them regularly (all models) and they are definitly one of the most well balanced and well rounded cars out there. But as far as the M cars go (especially the current M3) they have a lot of problems. How many of you have had your motors replaced due to them spinning a rod bearing (usually #5), or had the recall that replaced your bearings and oil pump to prevent failure? Dont get me wrong i love these cars. But when you start pushing 330 hp from a NA 3.2 liter engine your going to have problems. The hardest thing on an engine is elevated rpms and for you to make the hp that the M3 makes you have to spin them high. A typical turbo motor doesnt need to rev high (the mass of air required to make good power is force fed to it) This also results in more torque for a given displacement. And yes there are bmw motors that have turbos (98-99 Bentley arnage has a bmw 4.4 liter twin turbo and intercooled motor). This was a bmw design so i guess its not against their ideals. Anyway i drive a crappy old mustang so have fun ragging on that for a while. Good luck with the hate. Later, Dave.

Ok you just quoted the oldest and slowest Starion an 83 which we really arent discussing in this thread

Specs for a stock 89 starion are as follows
188Hp 235Ft-Lbs of torque
1/4 mi in 15.5
Skid pad .89G's

no one will argure that the starion was a straigh line beast cause it wasnt but it could hang with the 944 turbo in the twisties.

Would someone kindly post the stats on BMW's top sports offering for less then 30K in 89 thanks[thumb]

As far as Mitsubishis are crap goes.. oh please.. you guys act as if BMWs are in the top 3 of the JD Power rankings.. I dont ever remember even seeing them in the top 10. 2 of my best friends have a 318 and a 325... sorry to say those cars are pieces of crap.. in the past year the 325 has been in the shop 3 times for repairs that still arent completely fixed.. ... Given the choice, Id take the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 8 over any BMW out there today every time.. M killing performance on the street and the track.. for half the price.. Bottom line.. GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASSES!! [hihi]
As I always say, if you are going to make statements as truth, back them up with facts. Here are the real facts from JD Powers. Notice where BMW is ranked, in the top 10 that you obviously claim they are not. Also note where Mitsubishi is, NOT in the top 10, and BELOW AVERAGE! Take your Lancer - below average quality competing with Hyundai!!!!!! Baahahaahaaaaa!!!!! By the way, the FACTS seem to really show whose head is where.

Mitsubishi RESELLS USED CARS AS NEW TO INFLATE SALES VOLUMES! This is a brand to be proud of.....

See the full article as referenced at the end of the clip:

Fake Sales Mar Mitsubishi Total…(Mark Rechtin) Donna and Henry Burke of Tomkins Cove, N.Y., say they love their new 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, which they bought in April. But they were jolted to learn later that they were not the first owners — at least on paper. According to Mitsubishi sales records obtained by Automotive News the Eclipse had been sold more than two months earlier, on Jan. 30. The buyer: "Supa Mann," a resident of "Lois Lane," phone number unknown. The Burkes are victims of a practice Mitsubishi insiders call "burning RDRs" — inflating monthly sales figures by filing false retail delivery records, or RDRs. The usual purpose: to meet sales targets or qualify for bonuses, prizes or incentives that can total thousands of dollars. The practice, in addition to polluting the industry's sales numbers, also can shortchange consumers on warranty coverage without their knowledge. Present and past Mitsubishi employees and some dealers say that at least three of the company's five U.S. sales regions inflated sales from mid-1999 until this May or June, and that thousands of vehicles were "burned." Indeed, a comparison of Mitsubishi's reported sales to Polk Co. registration data suggests that the pool of fake sales could have totaled as many as 21,000 vehicles at the beginning of the year. It's not known how such widespread sales padding could have been coordinated. But senior executives of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc., which aggressively markets itself as "the fastest growing Japanese automaker in America," emphatically deny that the practice was significant. I just feel that it wasn't cool for someone to see another person's opinion on his own website and then run home and tell all his friends. Then, it seemed everyone piled on and bashed his site and the car he drives. We could go on for hours debating who can pee the farthest. I have said what I came here to say. I appoligize to those I have offended. I sometimes get carried away when it comes to cars. I respect that this is a BMW club and I should have expected the views to be greatly slanted to that side. Maybe I have opened the eyes a little to an other wise over looked competitor... maybe not.

xLibelle thanks for the the comps.
