The 650 size and weight is good for me - 90% of the time. From a usability viewpoint, I like the size - I'm 6-3"=big hands, so tiny phones are a pain for me.

As far as carrying it, for business use with a belt holster style case, or in a coat/jacket pocket, it's fine. It's OK in your pants pocket without the case, but it is slightly bigger and heavier than ideal. It usually doesn't bother me, but in your jeans pocket, if it rings, you WILL answer the call just getting it out of your pocket, by accidentally pressing the touch screen - and sometimes you don't want to take a call after you see the caller id!!!
Yea I think I decided on the blackberry. Their smaller one (the 71something) is pretty nice, LOOKS like a regular phone, not a pda or anything (even though it's the same size as the 650, just 'rounded' corners makes it look more slim)

I was going to get a regular phone, but I'm bored with clamshells and the regular phones are, as you said, too small. I'm 6'1" and don't have small hands. Definitely makes dialing in the car difficult.

Hopefully "Crackberry" doesn't get shutdown (that's their nickname, people get addicted to them). I think that they won't get shutdown, they are WAY TOO embedded in business and government life.

frolf and I dig the Razr. I find the camera quality on the Razr to be okay...nothing more useful than to assign pictures for caller ID of people I know (although this is quite a tedious process to have a picture for everyone on my phonebook). It has what I need:
-Bluetooth for my Jabra BT800 earpiece
-Speakerphone for when I'm driving another vehicle and/or I forgot to bring the earpiece
-AIM (software version)
-Big screen and easy menu system
-Great profile for slipping into my pocket

Whilst I dont think they will get shutdown, I certainly wouldnt buy a crackberry until that case is resolved.

Razr V3, lovin' it..

I have no phone woes to share, in my 10 years of owning a mobile phone (From the days of carrying a brick bag to sliding it in my pocket today).

I took a video movie of the snow we got yesterday, did a decent job at max resolution. The pics are good at 640x480 (1.4 mb pixels isn't bad for a phone).

I'm getting a razr v3 now. I'm getting it for free w/ Cingular. I don't like cingular, but they're giving me a good deal to stop my at&t service and join the 'orange;' plus I do like roll over since my phone use varies greatly.

Do you all think I should pay the premium and go with verizon? Essentially it'll break down like this: $30/month with 700 anytime, and all the other standards, and a free phone (Cingular); as opposed to $40month with 275 anytime and all other standards, but no free phone (Vreizon)

They won't, sounds like the NTN or whoever (I guess NTN is the ball bearing manufacturer) owned the patents in question, aren't necessarily valid or something. We'll see, RIM says they have a backup plan, and more than likely won't have problems anyways. Even if their BES goes down, it won't effect me.

My dad actually really liked the 650, enough that I think it's what I'll be getting him for fathers day/birthday. I'm SO impressed with the blackberry though, it really IS addictive. I used it all day at work today, sent/recieved about 100 text messages total, surfed the web on my breaks, and talked on aim. Of course I played solitare for a few minutes. [rofl]

I know one thing, this phone will be SUPER nice to have when I go back to school. Wish I would have bought one earlier. I got it for $199 because of their "new every 2" deal. [:D]

One of my friends has a Razr with Verizon. His menu is defaulted to List Mode whereas my T-Mobile Razr menu is defaulted to Icon Mode. I can switch to his layout....what are you referring to??

the entire gui runs as a brew app, so it takes longer for things to load. subsequently you get menu lag when switching back and forth sometimes. and whast up with the stupid stupid stupid red bar on the top?

Yeah, Verizon gives you the wack red bar to constantly remind you you're using VZW. I know people have complained about the Razr's menu lag, but my Razr is fine. There is just a tiny bit of lag, but not like my friends' Razrs who have Verizon. My Sony Ericsson T637 had an unbelievable amount of lag and I find my Razr to be great. If you want NO lag at all, you get an LG.

No lag here w/ Cingular, I got it for $99 with a $50 rebate, Family plan 700 mins. I got 6800 minutes 'rolled over' from my 'rollover' plan I abandoned that is still applied to my account, so I don't think I'll need any minutes for a few years.. [:D]

You're right dan, I'd totally take fast menu's over better service. I mean what's near-perfect service when you have to deal with slow menu's.

Moto V360..............I likes it
My dear fellow - Tool Fan - 1 again it proved that we have the same taste. Even I couldn't believe my eyes. I guess you don't like Lilo and Stitch then. My parrot chewed up my Black Razr V3. So I have to buy another Moto. This bird just loves high tech stuffs (blinking light). The V3 body/remains [8] was found right at its orignal place --- the dinning table. [bigcry] [bigcry] [bigcry]
