I had a chance to buy a "99" MB E320 full options with 40k miles for $24,000. I just couln't see myself buying a non-sport MB. I got a better deal on the BMW anyways. The MB was such a great deal though. I think I could have even gotten under the 24k mark.

I would not buy a C class MB. The new ones are nice. A friend of my brother-in-laws bought a C320 sport and it's pretty nice, but I wouln't have bought it. If you are going to buy a MB you must start out with the E class don't even look at the C class.

Are you only looking for a sedan?
Must it be german?
Must it be RWD, FWD, or AWD?
Does it have to meet any performance criteria?
Are there any options you have to have?
Must it have a warranty?
How many miles are too many?
How much interior room do you need?
Must it be an automatic?
Do you have to have a NAV system?

There are numerous other questions I could ask, but you get the idea. Figure out what you want. Until then, its pointless to debate the merits of particular cars for your as of yet unknown desire.

you buy a merc and it's going to be vandalized at your school (i can tell by the types of kids that go to your school -- they are about the same as the hicks at my school)

If i were you I would go for a 2001 325ix or 330ix auto. Should have atleast 2 years warranty left (BMW gives 4 year warranties)

found out that one was not an auto once i looked at BMW of austin web site...[?|]

i also found out that my brothers suv is being shiped here to see if it is totalled [?|]

so it will be another weekend gone down the drain[?|]

well my brothers suv made it sown here we went to look at it an damn is it fooked up.......We arnt going to take it back no matter what!!

turns out no car for me i have to get an suv!!!!!!!!!!

But it isnt all that bad.....We are going to go look at Mercedes MLs next week when we get our money from it.......
